These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website www.pensunlimited.co.uk (the 'Website'). By visiting pensunlimited.co.uk or by placing an order, you confirm that you have read these terms and conditions and agree to adhere to them in their entirety. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you must not use this Website.
We may update or vary our terms and conditions from time to time, so please check this page for the latest version whenever you visit pensunlimited.co.uk. We can also update and vary the terms and conditions by notice on other pages of this Website.

Whenever you buy a product through this Website, you will be contracting with Pens Unlimited, Mr S W & Mrs L Dickinson Trading as Pens Unlimited.

Terms of sale

By placing an order you are offering to purchase a product on pensunlimited.co.uk and subject to the following terms and conditions. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.
When you place an order with us (by choosing an item and completing our online checkout process), we will send you an acknowledgement and or proof for your approval by email. This will detail the products you have ordered. Please note that your completion of the online checkout process does not constitute our acceptance of your order.
Our acceptance of your order only takes place when we despatch it. A ‘purchase contract’ between you and Pens Unlimited is therefore made at the point of despatch, rather than at the point of payment. If you have cancelled your order, or if we notify you that we cannot accept your order, then no purchase contract will have been made.
From time to time, we may not be able to accept an order for the following reasons:
If, unfortunately, we do not have your chosen goods in stock
Where we cannot obtain authorisation for your payment
If there has been a pricing or product description error
If you do not meet any eligibility criteria set out in our terms and conditions
If the order for personalised products contains reference to any copyrighted information where you have not obtained permission
If your order for personalised products contains content which is threatening, defamatory, obscene, indecent, seditious, offensive, pornographic, abusive, liable to incite racial hatred, discriminatory, menacing, scandalous, inflammatory, blasphemous, in breach of confidence, in breach of privacy or which may cause annoyance or inconvenience.
We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time and issue a full refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.


Pens Unlimited aims to provide you with a fast, high-quality service, so any products you order are immediately sent for production. Please double-check your order on screen and your acknowledgement email carefully to check that all the details are correct. We cannot refund items where the personalisation has been mis-spelt due to an error made by you.
If you are uploading images, they must be in JPEG, eps, pdf or AI format. Any other format such as Word documents cannot be accepted. For best results, we advise that you make the image dimensions approximately 1,000 pixels for the smallest edge of your artwork. We print images at 600DPI (Dots Per Inch), so if you are scanning the image we recommend you use this setting. If you try to upload a photo that has a lower resolution or image size, we will accept it. However, an on-screen warning will appear to let you know that the image might not print very well.

© & TM registration usually are very small and don't tend to print at all or very well, Please ask us to insert larger versions if required. We will not attempt to print smaller than 4pt when it comes to text and lines. We will advise if this is the case.

More Than 1 Print Colour

Printing more than 1 print colour is Strictly subject to sight of artwork. Therefore all orders requiring more than 1 colour print must be approved by Pens Unlimited prior to you placing your order. Orders made without the prior approval of Pens Unlimited requiring more than 1 print colour maybe subject to cancellation by Pens Unlimited and will be refunded with 15% cancellation charge.
Metallic Inks Gold and Silver inks have a reduced life due to their formulation. No guarantee for adhesion or longevity can be given on these colours. You can ask for an over-varnish to improve their wear resistance (extra charges will apply).

Metal Pens

All metal pens and those with lacquered finishes, We cannot guarantee the longevity and adhesion of inks. Although we add a hardener to the inks to help adhesion the pens are then left to cure for 72 hours prior to packing. It would always be advisable to purchase gift boxes or sleeves to protect the print and pen finish.
Engraving is available on request, this is not performed in-house so please contact us for quotation and lead times.

Print Colours

Please note we will only Pantone match a colour reference for orders over 250 pieces. Else our standard colours will only be available:-
Black, White, Gold, Silver, Blue (reflex blue), Green, Red (signal red)Yellow. If you require any other colour please contact us.
For Orders over 250 please advise pantone reference, else we shall get nearest match to supplied artwork.
Please note inks are mixed by hand to specified Pantone formulas. An exact match is not possible therefore for subsequent repeat orders you maybe asked for a sample to match to.

Product Description

We use all reasonable endeavours to make sure that every product on pensunlimited.co.uk is shown accurately and that prices are correct. However, occasionally there may be small variations in colour, typefaces and layout.


Sample products are sent on request for inspection. More expensive products may be invoiced at the discretion of our sales team unless they are returned within 30 days. Cheaper products are normally supplied free of charge. Many of our pens carry the Manufacturers Trademark and or Country of Manufacture, discreetly positioned. If this is of concern you should request a sample prior to ordering. Pen finishes and colours, may not be strictly obvious or accurate on the website, so again responsibility is with yourself when ordering, and we'd advise requesting as sample first. Once printed or engraved, we will not exchange if you decide you don't like the finish or colour of the pen / product.

Payment Terms and Pricing

We will require payment at the time of ordering for your initial order. You can buy online, or if you prefer, you can email your order and we shall send you a pro-forma Invoice and if you wish send us your cheque or card details. No extra charges are made to you for using the online shop or by making a card payment. If you wish to open a Trade account after your initial purchase, please contact us for an application form (Trade accounts agreed strictly at our discretion). Terms are strictly 30 days from the date of invoice. All goods will remain the property of Pens Unlimited until payment is received in full. All payments are to be made in Sterling. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the price of the goods and/or services shall be that ruling at the date of despatch or completion and payment shall be net cash unless credit facilities are given in advance. Unless otherwise agreed in writing Pens Unlimited reserves the right to vary the price of the goods on the website at any time, or by notice to the Buyer at any time before delivery if, and to the extent that there is any increase in the price or cost of goods to Pens Unlimited by reason of any foreign exchange fluctuations, changes in currency regulations, alterations in duties or import, variations in the cost of raw materials, labour, services or transport, or by any reason or cause (whether or not of the same nature of the foregoing) beyond the control of Pens Unlimited


Goods will be dispatched on your behalf on an overnight service and we cannot be held responsible for late deliveries once the goods have left our premises.


All prices are subject to origination costs, carriage and VAT.

Average Lead Time

The average lead time means the average amount of time to produce 1000pcs in a single colour print from receipt of your signed and approved order acknowledgement. We reserve the right to offer an alternative product of similar price if there is a stock shortage.


Written confirmation of your cancellation will only be accepted. If an order is cancelled after receipt of your signed and approved order acknowledgement, there will be an administration charge of 15% plus the cost of any materials on any work carried out.


Printed pens may be subject to 5% over or under run and be charged accordingly.

Inspection upon Receipt

All goods received by you must be inspected within 3 working days of delivery and any shortages or quality issues reported to Pens Unlimited in writing. On no account can the goods be distributed by you until you are satisfied that they are of merchantable quality. No discounts or compensation will be given once the products have been distributed.

Defective Goods

In the event that we agree that defective goods were supplied, we will replace the goods at our cost. We will not accept any claims for consequential loss. In the event of Pens Unlimited supplying incorrect or faulty goods, credit will only be given if the entire consignment is returned.


You shall be responsible for the suitability of goods in every way for the purpose for which they are intended. Whilst every effort will be made to deliver on time, there is no liability for delays occasioned by circumstances beyond our control. Any liability to you by Pens Unlimited will be limited in total to the price of the goods.

Logos and Images

Logos and images shown on the website are for display purposes only and are not intended to suggest or imply that work was undertaken for any company, or that they endorse the product(s) upon which their name or logo is shown. The images are to illustrate the type of effect possible using the printing techniques available.

Passing of Risk and Property

(a) Goods will be at the Buyers risk from the time of despatch as hereinafter defined, but property in the goods will remain in the Company and will not pass to the Buyer until the Company has received the purchase price of the goods in full. It is a strict provision of any contract between the Company and the Buyer that when the Buyer resells the goods to which the contract relates that the Buyer imposes the same terms and conditions of sale (As contained in this document) on his/her client to ensure that the title of goods does not pass from the Buyer until full payment is received by the Buyer.
(b) Where the Company supplies goods that are printed. The Company reserves the right to supply 5% above or below the quantity ordered by the Buyer. The Company will make every endeavour to supply the exact quantity ordered by the Buyer but the Buyer must accept that excess material has to be printed to compensate for wastage and this cost of wastage is not included in any quotation. The Buyer must pay for any quantity of goods in excess of the ordered quantity and will only pay for the quantity despatched and at the price of the whole order.
(a) Unless otherwise agreed, the price of the goods will be that in Seller's price list at the date of despatch. Seller shall be entitled to amend its price list from time to time without notice.
(b) Unless otherwise agreed, prices quoted are exclusive of the cost of delivery to any destination in the United Kingdom and are exclusive of Value Added Tax.
(c) All prices shown include a one colour to the barrel, additional print cost may vary for each product.
(a) All quotations specified by Pens Unlimited are only to be used by the recipient.
(b) All quotations specified are valid for 30 days. Unless agreed otherwise.

Delivery Dates

Whereas the Company will make every endeavour to meet despatched deadlines all despatch and completion dates are given in good faith but are not guaranteed and no liability will be accepted for any losses, costs, damages, or expense suffered by the Buyer as a result of failure to meet any such date. The Company shall be entitled to despatch goods at any time on or before the date specified on the Sales Order Acknowledgement or other document issued by the Company relating to delivery dates and unless otherwise specified by the Buyer the Company may at its discretion despatch all of the goods in one consignment or in portions time to time before or on the specified date. If the Company fails to meet the acknowledged despatch date the Buyer is entitled to cancel the order providing that the Company is given at least three weeks from the date the Company receives back from the Buyer the signed order acknowledgement. The Company shall not in any event be liable for any special, consequential or indirect loss or damage (including, but without limitation, any loss of or in respect of profit, wages or overheads) suffered by the Buyer as a result of any delay in a failure of delivery.

Claims on Delivery

All claims for non-delivery of any consignment shall be made in writing to the company and any carrier engaged by the Company within five (5) working days after the date of despatch shown onthe Company’s invoice.

Force Majeure

(a) In the event that as a result of any act of God, Storm, Fire, Flood, Explosion, Strike, Lockout(whether at the Company’s premises or elsewhere), shortage of materials or any other matter which is beyond the Company’s reasonable control, or not within its reasonable contemplation at the date of acceptance of the Buyer’s order, the performance of the contract is made materially moreonerous or expensive for the Company, the Company may at any time by written notice cancel the contract without liability to the Buyer. In the event that by the date on which the Company serves such notice of cancellation is given, the Buyer shall be obliged to take up and pay for the goods soinvoiced.
(a) Our money back guarantee applies for the following:
(b) Quality of the printing is not to standard.
(c) Overall quality of goods has not been met. (over 15% of the order)
(d) Due to print method, small logos and registration marks may not be 100% legible.
(e) Order does not match the approved proof.
Please note, refunds will be given once all the printed goods have been collected by Pens Unlimited and checked.
